Gratitude and lest we forget…
Gratitude is what our team has for the freedom to be planning events and living the life we always imagined.
This Wednesday marks the 97th anniversary of the date and time armies stopped fighting in World War I.
At the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, Canadians will take a moment of silence in recognition and gratitude to all those who have fought and continue to fight for our freedom.
Some 100,000 Canadian soldiers died in the First and Second World Wars. Most municipalities host a Remembrance Day ceremonial event with moment of silence.
We remember reciting In Flanders’s Fields throughout our elementary years, certain we were saying it correctly, likely sounding like the Peanuts teacher murmuring in the cartoons.
Whether in the solitude of your own home or community of your fellow Canadians, Imagine That Events will join you in taking a moment of silence this Wednesday. Is lest we forget a hashtag yet?
