Gratitude for the happiest place on Earth
“All your dreams can come true if you have to courage to purse them” – Walt Disney
Opened in 1955 and created under the direct supervision of Walt Disney, Disneyland remains a captivating place. Every detail and nuance is orchestrated to seamlessly transport you from land to land. It is amazing how subtly the music changes and how well trained staff maintain their composure while directing distracted parents and their excited children by the numerous parades and sites.
Yes it is a huge commercial enterprise and there are many drawbacks, especially to a parent’s pocket book, that perhaps affect its claim as the happiest place on earth. But there is an unmistakable magic when you walk through those gates. Whether it is just from inhaling the sugar in the air or from the throng of laughter and smiling children, Walt Disney’s dedication may say it all:
“To all who come to this happy place: Welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past, and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams, and the hard facts that have created America, with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world. ”
Ever since we could remember, we were taught to believe in fairy tales, dream of accomplishing the impossible and finding our happily ever after. Thanks for Disneyland for inspiring us and teaching us that “Anything is possible if you dare to imagine…”
